Quick question when sampling sounds for a drum kit we can assign our sample to a keybank, and on the parameters page we have a range of c1 to g2 is this because if we coarse tune we can keep the sample on the same physical key but adjust it’s tune?  Thanks

Correct. A Sample is always assigned a KEY BANK. A KEY BANK is defined by a note range (horizontally) across the keyboard and a velocity range (vertically) by key-on speed. If you only give a sample a horizontal note range of C3-C3 you will not be able to COARSE TUNE it within a DRUM KIT Voice.

A Drum Kit Voice only allows a single KEY to view that sample. You have small window. So if you set the note range in INTEGRATED SAMPLING > EDIT (this is where you can edit the Key Bank) to C-2 - G8, then you will be able to COARSE TUNE the Drum KEY assigned to access any pitch. The KEY BANK note range, allows the sample to be able to reproduce higher and/or lower pitches. If the note range is only C3-C3, coarse tuning in the Drum Kit Voice will not allow the sound to viewed through that single key’s window.
