Is it possible to load custom voices from multiple .W2B files to 036/002 bank on Plg150-AN card? For example, from one .W2B file 10 voices, from the second 15, from the third 5.

Hi,

The .w2b file is a bulk data format, which the host instrument transmits internally to the PLG board. As far as I know, PLG host instruments will only load the entire file (or not at all).

In order to load custom PLG150-AN patches from multiple files, you could convert them to the .ans file format (this free tool does it for you), use the AN Expert Editor to import and rearrange the contents, and then bulk transmit the new voice set to your host instrument, finally saving it as a new .w2b file on the host.

Thanks for your reply. Does AN Expert Editor work with Windows 7?

There are several versions of the AN Expert Editor in circulation, but this one should work on Windows 7 and later (tested it on Win10 just now) if you follow these steps before installing it:

* Right-click the Setup.exe file and select “Properties”.
* Click the “Compatibility” tab.
* Check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” box and select “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”.
* Check the “Run this program as an administrator” box.
* Click “Apply” and “OK”.
* Run the Setup.exe file.

Finally, you may also have to locate the installed ANExpertEditor.exe file, and check the “Run this program as an administrator” box for it to launch properly.
