On my Motif Classic, several of my Vintage Keys voices are now missing the audio. I attempted to save my current board settings with Save All Voice to card but getting the -45999 error. Tried loading single voices from my Vintage keys file to replace the ones that no longer work, but that does not work either - I do not get an error, just still get no audio sound. |

OK the next issue was the -45999 error when trying to save my current Motif-8 board settings to my Smart Media Card.
Then I received the message to change the internal battery. Yamaha support informed me that if I simply removed the old battery and installed a new battery, I would lose all of my saved user data, and instructed me to bring the board to an authorized Yamaha repair center. Yamaha support indicated that the -45999 error was now likely to not having enough juice in the old battery to execute the save. I did and paid 2 hours of Shop Time to swap the battery with NO loss of my data, so clearly spent 2 hours of Shop Labor for nothing. Same -45999 error when trying to save and same User voices that were no longer playing are still no longer playing. Yamaha support told the authorized Yamaha Repair Shop that I am using the wrong card. It is a 64 MB card which I have used for 10+ years with no issue until now, though my last back-up was from 2022. They told me to use a 16MB card which I tried but same error. Now indicating either a factory reset or perhaps a corrupt electronics board in my Motif that would be cost prohibitive to repair. Any thoughts here? |
