Hi guys, I looking for a complete Midi CC list, that I can map to the LaunchControlXL The list in the DATA Sheet isn’t anywhere close to what’s transmitted. This is what the manual shows eg:
Reverb 66 = (actual transmitted 91)
...... Has anyone got a correctly mapped list CC1 to CC127 Thanks |

Hi, Assuming that you’re looking for the standard MIDI Control Change number assignments, they are easy to find online. Try this list or this website for a start.
What data sheet are you referring to? - H - |

Page 53 of the Motif Rack XS Data List. I’ve tried to add pictures of the manual, but unsuccessfully. The links you attacked are good, generally. But I’m wanting more specific CC related Motif data. eg FEG amount, FEG ADSR, PEG ADSR, LFO, etc |

Thanks for clarifying!
The Controller Set Destination table is not a list of MIDI Control Change (CC) numbers. Instead, those are internal targets for the Motif-Rack XS’s own Controller Set function. The numbers discrepancy you’re seeing is a result of you confusing the two. The Controller Set function is a group of voice parameters (refer to Owner’s Manual, p.44-45) that map up to 6 physical controllers (sources) to those 102 listed functions (destinations). Twelve different sources are available, but not all are CC-type controllers:
- Modulation Wheel (CC# 001)
The Motifs will basically respond to incoming CC data as described in the lists I linked to earlier. Not all of the control numbers are specified in the Data List (see p.59), but some can be remapped in the “Controller” submenu of Utility mode (Owner’s Manual, p.101-102). Note that this is a system setting, rather than per-voice. The functions you’re looking for, however, are not directly related to any particular CC messages. They are instead handled as System Exclusive parameters. Perhaps not for the faint of heart, but if your Launch Control XL can send SysEx (and the Controller Set function didn’t help), the necessary data strings can be derived from the MIDI Data Table section of the Data List (p.61-). - H - |
