Good morning motifator,
so… breaking news, i just recently acquired a used motif xf for an amazing deal, and to be very honest with you… i have finally purchased my dream board after 2 decades of drooling over it
but at the same time though, i do have some motif voices (x3v files) with me on my computer from a previous motif synth (specifically the motif es) created by a friend of mine which i’ve borrowed from him over the years

and my question is, i have these files on a usb stick ready to import into my motif xf, but i’m having concerns about overwriting data once the transfer is complete, is there a safe non-volatile way to import the motif es presets into motif xf without overwriting data (yes, i’m already aware that sound quality between motifs will differ from each other)
or am i gonna have to create an ALL file on my motif xf before importing the presets? and reimport the motif xf sounds in the near future using the file process? or possibly even a factory reset to reload all my original sounds?

also i was wondering if the flash board would be a safer route to import the es voices into my motif xf, just curious as i love both motif synths, but it would be nice to have the presets of the motif es included with my motif xf sounds, that way i won’t have to bother my friend with renting his motif es ever again, would the flash board be recommended at this point

i want to apologize if i sound like a broken record, but i need advice on how to approach this compatibility issue
