Hi - I recently bought a used MOXF6.  I want to be able to use step recording to save songs in the unit.  However the step recording function in the MOXF is enormously cumbersome.  Any software recommendations for this?  I don’t need the software for anything else really.  Just want to lay the songs out and then move them into the MOXF sequencer for playback.  Seems like Cubase may be overkill for something like this.

Appreciate any suggestions you may have.  Thank you.

get MuseScore 4

Notation Software

It free!  Much easier to use than Cubase. This kind of software will literally let you lay out your song one note at a time. one beat at a time, one step at a time.  Once you’re done laying out your song in steps(notes), whatever, save as midi and then important the midi file into MoxF6 Voila!
