I have a motif 8 classic.

I bought a second hand PLG150-AN on ebay from Japan about 2-3 years ago.

Has worked fine but yesterday when I powered up, the sound from the PLG150-AN was just loud distorted noise - I spun through the different presets and they were all the same. All the internal sounds were working fine so it seems to be an issue with the PLG150-AN rather than the motif itsefl?

I took the PLG150-AN out and plugged it back in again and the sounds worked ok again.

But, this morning when I powered up it was the same problem - noise!

Has anyone else had this issue and if so did you manage to get a permanent fix?

I don’t use the motif very often these days, but it is set up in a study at room temperature and dust cover. I’d say I power it up on average once every 3 months.

Hi,

Given that the card worked for a while after reseating, it sounds like you have a contact issue. I’d start by cleaning the board edge connector and plug, and also check the wire loom inside the PLG slots for discontinuities or bad solder joints.
