Hi All A follow-up to my previous post (that seems to have everyone stumped!). I’m using the Rack XS as a VST instrument in Cubase Elements 10.5.12 under Windows 10. I have version 1.6.8 of the Rack XS Standalone/VST Editor, the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver V3.1.4 and am using the Steinberg UR22MKII audio interface. When I add the Rack XS as a VST instrument track, I can hear the selected patch just fine but there is no activity against that track in the mixing console. Similarly, the fader doesn’t influence the volume of the track at all. This is also the case while recording to the track or playing it back. At the moment, I have resorted to mixing the track down to a separate audio track. Activity on the audio track is reflected on the mixing console and the volume can be adjusted using the fader. The only other way I seem to be able to control the volume of the VST instrument track is through the Rack XS VST Editor. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong (as usual!)? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance. Kkarl PS If I add a “normal” MIDI track to Cubase in the good old fashioned way and point this at the Rack XS, the track works as you would expect in the mixing console! |
