Hi zpink --

I’m excited about this new product, but it’s anticipated to be the successor to the Tyros 5. (With a Tyros-sized price.)

Folks on the PSR Tutorial Forum pointed out that at least the last two Tyros models had “Digital workstation” on the box and tin.

Yeah, maybe you’re right.
Personally I’m very happy with my MoXF, so not looking to upgrade any time soon.
I’m sure the price will be close to your prediction too! ;-)

Hi there

I will check it out when home.
With the price tag and Tyros legacy, it won’t be for me.
Maybe one day a Montage here, but I’m way too happy with my MoXF at the moment and there are other toys to tickle my GAS so that won’t happen any time soon neither. ;-)

Hi --

I had a chance to think a little more about the Genos specs. There is quite a big jump in the number of Mega Voices, Super Articulation voices, and Super Articulation 2 voices—a bigger increase than we’ve seen with previous Tyros-to-Tyros upgrades.

This is enabled by the new tone generation hardware.

I think the end result will be highly detailed, expressive voices that are fun to play. It ain’t no accident that Yamaha added a third articulation button in addition to the knobs and sliders.

I can’t wait to play this thing!
