Yes, and I got it yesterday, and it seems really good. But there is a problem that another guy also posted on Steinberg forum, and he got an Yamaha MOTIF XS and I got an MOXF8, so maybe its a Yamaha problem?
When recording MIDI with the MOXF8 in Cubase 8 and then play the tones, the sound from the MOXF8 comes 1 click before the notes in key editor.

I also got it now. I don´t know if I have that problem yet because I can´t open the motif xs VST editor… It works in 7.5 but not in 8 (???) Is there new extensions or something? |

In Steinberg forum there now was information from one guy that it might be the Yamaha VST editor that is not compatible with Cubase 8, and that seems possible when it seems to be only we with Yamaha synhts that have this problem.

Im using Mac yosemite… On one new computer and 10.9 Maverics on the old one. On the first one with yosemite my fw connection and motif xs editor with cubase 7.5 is ok with yosemite. Just not with cubase 8 .....on the same computer |

Ok the first problem is solved! Cubase 8 opens by default in 64bit mode. I changed that to 32 bit mode (right click on the iron and “get info” - then udmark 64 bit mode and mark 32 bit mode) the editor and extension and drivers work just fine then! 😀 But yes I have the same problem recording to the computer. I set the seq to auto and rec on computer. Then i turn on the click in cubase and start to record 1/4 notes on the click - but when i then play it back in cubase the track i not following the click and not in time - its to late so its not playing back right..... 😨 seems like it must be the same problem you have..... |

Just tried it again. I have the same problem as you Peter! Cubase 8 just isn´t in sync with the XS editor timing playing back the recorded midi. There is no timing problems using Halion Sonic or other VSTs. In Cubase 7.5 there is no timing problems using the XS VST Editor.

Oh!
They’ve welcomed us and have always been helpful for us in the past with issues. Let us know what happened from this and how it went. |

They certainly seem to have acknowledged the problem of the Yamaha VSTi’s with C8 on the MAC but no mention of the same problem existing on Windows. Let’s hope Yamaha realise this even if Steinberg don’t. |
