Hello friends, newbie here… trying to hook my Motif Rack Es via Adat optical to my UAD Apollo. No success, I can connect the 1/4 jacks and get sound, but I’m trying to save those inputs and go digital whenever possible. Anyone having success with this?

Hi rongreenetunes, Welcome to Motifator. Some lightpipe cables use RCA or optical connectors identical to S/PDIF, but the data streams between lightpipe and S/PDIF protocols are totally incompatible. Presumably you’d need a regular S/PDIF cable. |
