Hello! To get straight to the point, I own a Motif ES Rack. I created and saved a Performance consisting of Piano, Rhodes, and Strings. I want to: 1) Map the Piano’s volume to it’s own fader on my midi controller. 2) Map the Rhodes’ volume to it’s own fader on my midi controller. 3) Map the Strings’ volume to it’s own fader on my midi controller. 4) Map the Motif ES Overall volume to it’s own fader on my midi controller (my controller (Impulse 61) has a dedicated master fader). Can someone please walk me through all the steps to make these things happen. I need your expertise. Yes, I read the manual back and forth. It does not clearly state how to go about doing these things. Yes, PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you to the expert/s who responds!!! Let me know if you need more information. |

On how many MIDI channels are you transmitting from the MIDI Controller to the Motif-Rack ES in order to play these three sounds simultaneously? This will determine what options you have to assign controllers. What type of data are you capable of sending from your MIDI controller… CONTROL CHANGE (cc) messages?, SYSTEM EXCLUSIVE (sysex) messages?, etc. |

As of right now, I have a midi cable going out of my Novation Impulse controller into my Motif ES rack. I created a Performance stack that consists of 3 voices: piano, rhodes, and a synth. Therefore, every voice in the Performance is transmitting on the same midi channel. My Novation Impulse midi controller transmits CC messages. So, faders 1-8 on my midi controller are something like CC40-CC48. |
