Hi

Forgive my noobness.  I am primarily a guitarist but I am lucky enough to own a couple of Yamaha rack modules, an ES and a Motif Rack.  My wife just brought me home a new Motif XF8 as an entirely unexpected gift (yes I think I will keep her...) and I am wondering about the sound differences and the two older rack modules.  Are they worth setting up and exploring the tones in them, or are the great majority of tones in the new keyboard upgrades of what is contained in the rack units.  Has the XF8 basically obsoleted the two racks?  It’s not like it’s a lot of space, but if the new board is the same but better, than I can sell the rack modules.

Let me know what you think!  Thanks

Joe
