I know its late posting a comment about something that is now history, but a lot of the folks who caught this on TV were disappointed with the sound. I have to say that the sound standing in the Mall was superb. I have never ‘felt’ live and let die until that moment! A truly great night and such a variety.

God bless her Majesty.

Cheers

Hi Wellie,
I’m glad you could attend and I’m somewhat envious. Thanks for the comment. I’ve often wondered how much of a difference there is in person. I’ve watched the Idol show and thought the singers were horrid. Then the judges give them a ten.
Best wishes for your Queen.

Hi Wellie,
Yeah, that was quite the concert, lucky Queen!!
It must have been a spectacular time, to witness that event, or even just hear it from within the vicinity.

Now the Olympic opening concert should also be an event to remember for many moons too…

Thanks for the thoughts.
I’m looking forward to your Olympic concert coverage this week. Smile

Hey Stone,
How goes it?

take care you guys

Hey Chas,
It goes well. Here’s hoping the same for you. Interesting observation from Wellie eh? I caught a bit on the telly and wondered how it sounded live. Low and behold we have an on the spot observer. Ah, the wonders of the internet.
Is it warm in the tundra, this time of year?

Hi Stone,
Ok, you broke me up and got a giggle-extended out of me, thanks.

Ah, thee tundra, would that be like the FV Zappa tundra by any chance?
Cause it’s smile after smile up here right now…

We’re in the Flora and Fauna stage of late…

Be well, my Motif brother.

This was taken on the Mall that evening as the fireworks were going off.
Excellent.

Yes, I will probably bring some updates of the Opening show, we didn’t get venue tickets but managed to get repeater ones for the Hyde Park overflow big screen - should be brill.

Cheers

Hi Wellie,
Nice pic.
In Canada, we used to fly that marvelous Union Jack flag.
But then we became cool, and designed a flag with a maple leaf. duhhh!!
We love our maple syrup!! The wood is nice too.

I look forward to your olympic concert accounting…
Photos are always appreciated.

take care
