Hey Dave,
I purchased Vintage Keys for XS for my XF and everything is great - except for the “Won’t Get Fooled Again” patch.  The speed isn’t steady and goes up and down.  Any suggestions on why this might be?
Thanks

The Won’t Get Fooled voice works by using the common LFO synced to tempo
and then routed to amplitude and filter. If you “light up” the tempo knob
on your Motif, and then turn it left or right, you’ll see that the speed
changes.

It’s not the same as an arpeggio..it would be impossible to create an arpeggio that works the same way, because the actual part for the song is
so long and so varied. My suggestion is to actually reduce the depth of
the common LFO assignments to zero, and then play the part manually.
This is how every keyboard player who has worked with the Who does it -
they play it manually on an organ. Either that, or it plays back from
a recording that the drummer plays along to.

I changed this voice for Vintage Keys XF, so that it does not automatically oscillate and therefore requires you to play the part manually - essentially, it’s just an organ voice. The VK XF version of this voice still has the “sequenced” vibe controlled by the mod wheel -
push the mod wheel forward and it works like the XS version.

Vintage Keys XF will be released in mid-December.
