I was wondering if i had to get a yamaha sustain because i have a motif?
I have another sustain pedal but i cant seem to get it to work. Is there some process i have to go through in order to make it work?

AxXe...appreciate any replies.

It’s best to get a Yamaha pedal, as this is guaranteed to have the correct resistance for the jack socket.

Axxe, it is wise to use a Yamaha pedal. In particular, one that supports the half damping capabilities of the XS piano patches, etc… However, I have successfully used other pedals before the purchase of my Yamaha pedal and never ran into any problems…

Ok...When I push down the sustain pedal...It does the opposite...: it actually stops the sounds, it does not sustain it....Ive tried switching between the different settings on the sustain pedal option on my xs…

In my experience, this is sometimes caused by a plugging in the pedal after the Keyboard is powered on. Restart the XS with the pedal connected… Also, this is not a Logic issue so, Bad Mister might be able to lend more assistance in the XS forum…

I have a fatar pedal. But it keeps slipping and just wandering all over the floor...So think im gonna buy a yamaha pedal.  Would you guys recommend one? Im looking at the FC3..
