Is there anyway to get your data or song to a cd from the motif es6. I had a AW1600 but my display went out and I’m debating whether to get it fixed. It’ very costly to get it fixed.

There are (at least) two methods to accomplish this… first you could simply connect the audio output of the ES to your computer’s audio inputs and record the song into the computer and then burn an audio CD from the computer, or you could use the ES’s resampling capability to capture the audio from your song and save it as an *.wav file on a USB device and then load that on your computer and burn an audio CD.

For more information on the second approach, see this post in the now obsolete Mopedia - Motifator Wiki.

As Brad said, there are two options. The second was my choice, since you don’t have any sound quality losses due to the conversions from analog to digital domain and vice versa. But, I would suggest you also a third option and that is mLAN interface. With mLAN16e installed in ES you could record audio directly from Motif to your DAW (14 channels simultaneosly or master stereo!). This significantly reduces time for recording, since you don’t need to copy your WAV file from sampler to USB stick (it could last several minutes!) and than transfer it from USB to your computer and DAW. But, it is difficult nowdays to find mLAN16e since it is out of production.
