every time I load these wav’s into a patch they distort on playback. not every note every time, but really close. So i know it not the samples.
any advice?

Every time there was a complaint like this it had something to do
with the DIMM memory being bad.

+1 to that. Yes, this sounds like faulty (or more likely, incompatible) DIMMs.

The DIMMs are probably not faulty, just incompatible with the synth. The question should be will these work when installed in a Motif ES workstation.
