There are only 32 Templates in the MO8. What you have mistakenly identified as “templates” are PATTERNS. It would be correct to say, “There are 64 PATTERN locations in the MO. There are 64 SONG locations in the MO. Each has a MIXING program. These MIXING programs, like the PATTERN and SONG data are stored in volatile memory and will be lost when you power down.” It is also correct to say, “There are 32 non-volatile TEMPLATES in the MO. These can store MIXING program templates and can be recalled at any time using the TEMPLATE function.” These 32 non-volatile Template locations initially contain placeholder data - as examples, you can write over these. But the key thing is you can name and keep these TEMPLATES “permanently” in your MO and can recall them (GET them) at any time. They can be recalled to SONG mode or to PATTERN mode whenever you need them. From [MIXING] mode:
Press [JOB]
To recall a MIXING setup you would simply dial up its number and press [SF4] GET to “GET” the MIX from FLASH ROM and return it to the current MIXING program. These TEMPLATES are archived as SYSTEM data and are backed up to USB stick when [SAVE] an ALL data file. So every ALL data file (.M7A) you create from this point on will have your 32 TEMPLATES stored within. If you want to load an older ALL data file, or you are loading an ALL data file prepared by someone else… without changing your TEMPLATES use the LOAD option “ALL” but check the box that says “WITHOUT SYSTEM” Hope that helps. |
