Hi All,

I have PSR2100 Keyboard which is not being used since some time. But when I tried to turn it on yesterday it is not getting turned-on and throwing strange errors on every power-cycle. Randomly it gets turned-on may be 1 in 20 times. I am attaching snap of those errors. Please let me know if any one has any clue what might have gone wrong. I understand this is not a PSR forum, but from error it may be a common issue across keyboards. In case any user may have encountered similar issue please let me know, it will help me.

Thanks and Regards,
Sandeep

Hi,

I am not an expert with PSR keyboards, but a Google search with “PSR2100 assertion failed” delivered a few maybe interresting links:

https://www.yamaha-keyboard-guide.com/assertion-failed-yamaha-psr-2100.html

https://www.fixya.com/support/t26423760-yamaha_psr_1100_show_display_assertion

https://www.helpowl.com/q/Yamaha/PSR2100/Technical-Support/solve-issue-yamaha-psr-1100-display-assertion-failed/1049191

From what I grasped there (without looking to close), maybe a factcory reset does the trick.

Hope this helps somehow....

Best wishes,
Hank

Hi Hank,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried doing factory reset with below procedure, but unfortunately it didn’t help. I am still getting those errors. Appears some kind of hardware (dry connection) issue.

Adding PSR System reset procedure, if it helps someone in future.

System Setup Reset:
1) Turn OFF the keyboard.
2) Press and hold down the rightmost white key while turning ON the keyboard.
3) Release the key. The keyboard will reinitialize the ‘System Setup’ parameters to the original factory settings.

Thanks and Regards,
Sandeep
