Don’t know if anyone else has encountered this, but something seems to have changed in my MOXF8 in the last few weeks.

BACKGROUND
I use PERFORMANCES for my live gigs. These have from 1-4 parts.

For some parts I disable the volume pedal (pianos), while others have it enabled. For example, a patch with piano (volume pedal disabled) and strings (volume pedal enabled).

Until a few weeks ago, this worked as intended, but recently the volume pedal has been controlling ALL volume (all parts, regardless of whether they are enabled or disabled).

HELP!!!
I searched for whether there is a global setting in the manual (couldn’t find it, but sometimes these are “hidden” under a non-obvious name). I also Googled it, but the only link that seemed like it was an option turned out to be dead (on the YamahaSynths site).

Can someone please help me figure this out? I don’t want to deluge the thread with lots of photos, but I could add them if they’ll help.

Pat

Hey Pat, Sorry for your struggles.

Check under Utility Mode and ensure that FC1 is set for cc#11 Expression. This is the default setting for the instrument and can cause havoc if set to cc#7 (Volume).

Utility>F4 CTL ASN is where it’s found.
