So can the Motif ES series read Yamaha EX5 sounds? And/or; can EX5 sounds, programs, etc, be converted to Motif ES format?

Hi, The Plug-in Boards section is perhaps the wrong one for this question, but anyway: No, a Motif ES can not load EX5 sounds. The synth engines are both AWM-based, with obvious similarities, but some of the EX5 parameters and options simply don’t exist on the Motif. To the best of my knowledge, there are no tools to convert EX sounds to a Motif ES file format. - H - |
