I was not able to find an answer in the reference manual and doing a search on this forum for “arpeggio length” yielded two post, neither answering my question. In the XF data list manual, the arpeggio data includes the LENGTH of each. Ranges include 1,2,4,8 What do these numbers refer to? Midi data, bars, ???? Is the arp more complex the higher the number ? Appreciate your help |

The LENGTH is the number of measures it takes to complete the arpeggio phrase when the UNIT MULTIPLY parameter = 100% For example, if the LENGTH is listed as 8, then the phrase will take 8 measures to complete before repeating… provided the UNIT MULTIPLY = 100%. If UNIT MULTIPLY = 50% then the phrase will play in 50% of the time which is twice as fast, and it will complete the phrase in 4 measures. Conversely, if the UNIT MULTIPLY = 200% then the phrase will take 200% of the time to play - which is half as fast and will complete the phrase in 16 measures. When you are working with ARPs you want to look at the ARP PLAY EFFECTS - found on the [F3] ARP OTHER screen. UNIT MULTIPLY allows the Arp to playback at multiples of the instrument’s current tempo. It always references the instrument’s clock TEMPO, when UNIT MULTIPLY = 100% the phrase is playing at the displayed TEMPO. |
