When you are in play mode, press track [F3]-[SF1] and select port 2 on channel where your DX board is. For instance, in my ES DX board is in slot 3, so I select track 3.
Than, go to mix mode and deactivate one of 8 insert switch from regular 16 channels and activate insert switch at DX board (Song-Mix-Edit-Common, [F6],[SF2]).
If you want also arps on that (DX) channel, than press Song-Mix-Edit and select that channel using [F6] (switch among Part displays 1-16 to PLG1-3). Now select [F1] Voice, [SF2] Mode and activate ArpSwitch for that channel.
Hope this help. If you want deepper instructions, use Owner’s manual.

Hi this doesn’t work.
The arp stored with the voice and its effects are gone when I am back in song mode?
For example PLGPRE1 P1-P:050[LD:Indigo]
Has an arp, a delay and a reverb in voice mode and sounds fantastic.
When I am back in Song mode I only hear the voice with none of the stored effects from the voice?
How can the voice be made to sound the same in song mode?

If you want to put voice in a song that sounds the same as in voice mode you should use Mix - Job - Copy option and than choose whether you want to copy voice with Reverb and Chorus options and/or Voice with Arp option. For more details, please read attached Power guide written by Bad Mister.

Hi,
this didn’t copy the arps.
When I try to use an arp on one the the plugin boards in song mode the sound just stops playing?

with the DX board in voice mode all the arps and insert effects work.
How is this done in song or pattern mode?

In order for the PLG150 board to respond to the internal arpeggios you must address the PLG150 board as an internal tone engine on the basic PORT.

Here’s how:
Call up your SONG or PATTERN
You don’t give any information about the location of your DX board so we will write this as if your PLG150-DX is in SLOT 1 of your Motif ES (we assume you have a Motif ES, you don’t say that either).

Lets assign TRACK 1 to trigger the PLG150-DX in Slot 1
On the main SONG or PATTERN screen
Press [F3] TRACK
Press [SF1] CHANNEL
Here you can see the MIDI channel and PORT output for each Track. Make sure that track 1 is set to the default MIDI channel 1, Port = OFF

What this does is layer the PLG150-DX with the VOICE assigned to internal PART 1. You can choose to keep them layered or not. You can choose to have the internal PART arpeggiated while the DX is held. You can choose to have the DX PART arpeggiated while the internal PART is held… or you can choose to arpeggiate them both. Your choice.

Press [MIXING]
Press [EDIT]
Press Track [1] to view PART 1 parameters
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF2] MODE
Here you can make your decision about the internal PART.
Set ARP SWITCH = ON or OFF as you desire
Set the RECEIVE CHANNEL = OFF if you would rather not hear the internal PART (at all)

Press [F6] PLG1-3 to toggle and view the PLG PARTS

Here you can activate the PART ARP SWITCH for the PLG150-DX
Set the ARP SWITCH = ON
When activated, you simply then need to turn the main ARP ON/OFF switch = ON and go to [COMMON] EDIT > [F3] ARP and select your arpeggio TYPE.

The PLG150-DX board works like any other internal PART assigned to play an arpeggio - however you must treat it as an internal PART.

Hope that helps.
