I primarily use the preset sounds that came with the board (Motif ES) or purchase sounds (vintage keys, 80’s pop/rock voice) for songs my band is looking to cover. My band has approached me with covering Rio by Duran Duran (we have a guest sax player who loves the solo) and I’m having some issues recreating the synth sounds associated with it, especially the arp playing throughout the tune. I have never worked with arps before and am not really sure where to start. Any hints or tutelage would be appreciated.
