Hi,
Since you’ve already managed to transfer the samples; Do you know how to edit User drum kits in general? - H - |

Yes, sort of. Here’s What I’ve tried doing….. I loaded a drum sample I named called “BigKick1” on the FlashDrive into location 2028 on Key: C4. Next, I recalled UDR: 001 “Maple Custom Kit” and pressed JOB to REINITIALIZED the patch. Then I Pressed EDIT. Then, I pressed the note (C4) on the keyboard that want to add my sample. Then, I changed WaveBank from pre to USER. Then, I Changed the WaveNumber to the location that I stored my drum sample (2028) on the Flash Drive. In the display window I can see the title “BigKick1” the Drum Sample that I named; but, when I play the (C4) note on the keyboard, the sample does not playback. Question: what am I doing wrong? thanks, |

The procedure seems about right. A couple of things to check:
- Is the ElementSw for the key turned on?

Okay. Finally got it to work. Here is what I was doing wrong. It took me a few days to figure this out: During the process of LOADING the samples to a LOCATION and KEY assignments on the FlashDrive: For every sample I loaded, I did assign its own LOCATION; but for each sample’s KEY assignment, I choose “ALL” instead of actually assigning a dedicated Key # (i.e. C2).
To create the custom drum kit: I initialized a drum kit in UDR bank and entered the EDIT mode.
NOTE: one thing you need to be aware of: If you’ve loaded an audio sample/one-shot that is intended to sustain for some length of time (say, 3 seconds or a 3 minute audio loop), you must set that sample’s AMP ATTACK and DECAY EG to “127”. This way, when you press the key to fire-off the one-shot, you don’t have to continue to hold down the key for its full length; it will automatically play on its own. This will allow you to free up both hands to play other parts.
Hope all my explanations are not clear. If not, I’l try to find time to create a “how to” video. thanks, |
