Playing with my lovely motif 6 since a year or so and I’ve never figured out how to change my kits, ( synth sounds for exemple ) while playing a pattern.

For exemple in pattern mode, while my sequence is running I would like to try different sounds but its always returning to the one I’ve selected BEFORE starting the recording… I know I can change it in record mode then selecting the voice but cannot do it while a sequence is running.

If anyone have a solution for me will be great…

I don’t know if you can do that in Pattern mode, but if you record a Pattern Chain, you can convert the Chain to a Song, and when you are in Song mode, you can select the Track, then press Edit, and a screen pops up where you can see all of the Events that take place on that Track, and when they take place. You can insert a Program Change here.
1.Scroll to the place (measure) where you want the kit to change.
2 Press INSERT, then choose PC (Program Change) in the list of things you can insert, and (assuming you have the Data List booklet), you can look up the MSB & LSB parameters, and select the new kit.
3. Press SET.

If you want to eventually change it back to the previous kit, you’ll need to INSERT another Program Change. I hope this helps. If you have the manual, it explains the procedure in detail under Song Edit Mode. Have fun!

I figured out a way to do this… sort of, but it’s not automatic. It’s a manual way to do it.
While your Pattern is playing:
1. Press the Mix button
2. Select VOICE
3. Cursor over to the track you want to change kits on, and press the DEC or INC buttons to change the kit, or use the Category Search to find the new kit.
