Hi. The bank PLG150VL is specified as 128timbres. In Motif Es there are only 64. How can I load the rest, I understand that somehow you can change the bank, but how exactly - I do not know.

Hi,

It depends on what mode your Motif is in, but it is really simple in Voice mode:

- Select your PLG board from the front panel
- Have a look at the display
- Press the F2 button below the display
- Use the data dial or the Inc/Dec buttons to change the bank

(refer to p.188 of the manual)

I’d like to get the tutorial patch banks for PLG-VL.

Back in 2007, Bad_Mister shared a tutorial bank PowerUserVL1 for the motif es, it’s still downloadable today.  Thanks for uploading!

And then mhschmieder has kindly converted the w2b into sysex so the patches can be loaded into other PLG hosts, but I can’t locate any file available (anymore?).

Any chance the sysex files are still available somewhere?  Or any tips for what are the “correct portions of the BULKMSTR file header and footer” to strip from the w2b or w7e, if I have to do it myself?

Moreover, I have the motif classic rack as the host, and I found that the w7e conversion to w6e patches might not all that simple?
