Wondering who has had success running ANY computer editor for the Motif 6/7/8 Classic? I’ve tried the Yamaha Studio Manager/ Voice editor. Performance editor. I can’t get anything to connect to the synth and work.

I have tried MIDI and I have tried USB (after installing the Motif USB driver) but I cannot get it to work.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or help?

Update: I gave up on getting it to work in Windows 10. I keep an old Windows XP laptop in the studio just for stuff like this. Running it natively on WinXP it works fine.

Could find no way (compatibility mode and running as administrator) to get it to see my midi devices in Win10.

Download USB driver for Win10.

I use VMware virtual machine with installed XP under Win10. Work fine. Only for download/upload files. For playing using native Win10 and FL Studio.
