Hello, I have connected my moxf8 to cubase elements 10. Midi recording is successful but I cannot convert my midi track to an audio file track. Nothing is being recorded. Does anyone know how to do that and what the correct settings of my moxf and my cubase elements 10 are? Greetings Johnny |

Hi johpat, How have you connected your MOXF to Cubase Elements 10? Via USB, 5 pin MIDI, or via an audio interface? You’ve seen that nothing has been recorded, but please could you talk us through what you’ve already tried? Having just the correct settings doesn’t mean that you ‘should’ be able to record your MIDI as audio because it’s a mindset and somewhat of an artform as well. It’s difficult to fully answer your question until we find out where you’re at. |

Hello Mister Philwoodmusic, I have connected my moxf 8 via the usb cable (to host to USB from my laptop.)
I have imported an audio file as a guide.
I’ve tried:
Created an audio track. put the miditrack (in “all midi” output moxf8) on solo and attempted to record this way.
if you want to no other things i hear from you. johnny File Attachments

Try creating a stereo audio track in Cubase and set its input to MOXF USB 3 and 4. The audio from the MOXF synth engine defaults to outputs 3 and 4 (and not 1 and 2 like you’d expect) and the track you created is very likely set to 1 and 2, so that’s why you might be experiencing nothing recording. That’s where I’d start. |

You’re welcome. For your info, MOXF USB track inputs 1 and 2 do have a use. They default to the A/D inputs on the rear of your MOXF (for mics and guitars etc). |
