Hi all, I recently purchased a MOXF, amazing machine, and I am now looking into buying a tablet (or alternative) for the purpose of sheetmusic reading (PDFs) and recording using Cubase AI. A touchscreen would be crucial in my case. With that, I was wondering if anyone has anything like this setup and can offer recommendations for best products out there for this purpose. And if Id rather not buy Apple, I suppose I’ll probably need a Windows machine if Im hoping to use Cubase and the Yamaha editors? I doubt an android device would work with this. I also would need a way to mount or hold the tablet without hopefully scuffing or scratching my MOXF. So if anyone has any suggestions or comments, I’d be very grateful. Thanks! |

Although I wouldn’t use it for the Cubase component, I am also very interested in the Tablet as a live performing tool to get rid of my dreaded Book. I have been looking at Charttrax software, which it seems was developed as a solution for real-time onstage music chart management. I am tired of being the tortoise in the band when it comes to any out-of-order or spontaneous song call-outs! Any tool that allows me to call-up any one of my charts quickly for my keyboard setups would be very valuable to me. So, do any of you out there have experience with using a tablet and/or Charttrax (or similar software) for replacement of your “Book”? Do any of you own a 12” tablet (recommended size on the Charttrax website) and would be willing to download the free 30-day Charttrax demo version to give it a try in a live performance environment? It is the ability of the combination of tablet and software to perform this task efficiently that seems most critical. EDIT : agentaero , I hope you don’t think I’m hijacking your thread, I’m really just trying to join your quest! |
