I’d like to know if it is possible to send a program change midi string to select a specific performance on the MX49.  I’m able to select voices using the MSB and LSB and a program change value, but I have not been able to find any info on using this to access a performance.

I’m also not sure which midi channel I would use for this.  I know that you can select midi channel in one of the menu settings but it seems that the MX49 accepts input on all 16 channels - one for each layer I assume. 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

According to “MX49/MX61 Data List” page 57, in order to select Performances via MIDI, you have to use MSB=63, LSB=80, PC=0-127.
