My thought is it’s a good try to bring VSTs into hardware, but it has it’s own set of issues. Not all VSTs will work (read more about this on the mfr’s website). I wish it was a bit cheaper, you can buy a Windows laptop with more horsepower for less money and let’s face it money does talk.

This V-Machine is a nice alternative to the $$$$ receptor box but what would really be nice is the industry to come up with some sort of VST-like standard that would be optimized for standalone boxes like this one.

To me, that’s the missing piece for really making softsynths idiotproof live.
