When you need some help with “noise” or other problems in recording on your computer, it’s very helpful to include everything about your setup:

Exact computer configuration (Mac or PC, procerssor speed, processor type, number of drives and what type of drives, amount of RAM memory installed).

Which operating system (XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Mac Tiger or Leopard/Snow Leopard)

Soundcard type, model, and how audio is routed in and out of it.

Speakers - powered or unpowered, which models

Whether you are using MIDI or USB with your controller keyboard.

Type of recording software you use (Logic, Cubase, etc.)

Whether you have installed the latest DRIVERS for ALL your software.

------------

There are tons of variables in every system. Without exact specifics, it’s really not possible to do anything but take a wild guess about your problem. I’m going to go out on a limb and speculate that you are relatively new to computer audio.

only a suggestion. Disconnect the wall power plug and use only the battery power of your note book, during recording. Oh, and disconnect or shut down all the wireless thingies you maybe are using.

Maybe that helps.

if none of those suggestions work. disconnect each wire one by one and listen. also cut off everything else not connected to your system in the room like overhead lights, tv, and your heating system. LOL
i’m serious, once i found out when my heating system cut on it created a little buzz in my recording.
one last thing, are you using surge protectors or is everything plugged directly into the wall ? i have a furman that i used as my power source.

good luck..
