I need the CD rom that came with new Motif ES that enables one to program via computer. I think it’s called ‘Tools for the Motif ES”. Anyone know where I can get this? I bought a used one and, of course, the CD was not with the keyboard. Thanks.

Specifically what on the CD are you looking for? You can download the Studio Manager, Editors, USB-MIDI drivers, etc., here.

Thanks for the info. I’m ever getting deeper into the Motif, thought editing might be easier with the computer. Using a Kawai stage piano as a controller. Motif is the slave, may get a rack model Motif if I can find a way to separately control the 4 individual parts of a performance live (Turn them each on and off, control volumes of each). Taking the ES keyboard with me to gigs I control the 4 parts right on the keyboard with the 4 sliders, but with a rack how does one do this?

None of the Motif racks (Classic, ES and XS) have Performance, Song or Pattern modes. They have a single Multi mode instead. Download the manual and read about it.

The bad news is I doubt your Kawai piano has the proper master controller features to give you the kind of control over a Rack ES like you have with the ES keyboard in Performance mode.
