Hi everyone,

This may have been posted before but I was wondering if there was anyway of getting some sounds from the original MOTIF like certain choir sounds that are no longer present on either the ES or XS? I upgraded to the XS and no longer have access to the original MOTIF.Thanks for all your help as always…

Re: MOTIF Sounds

You cannot convert Motif Classic voices directly to XS format. The
path is to load Motif Classic voices to a Motif ES first, then save that as an ES format file, then load that into an XS, and re-save as an XS file.

Even then, there are some waveform differences between the Classic and the XS, as well as DSP (effects) differences, so voices that originally came from the Classic may not sound the same on the XS.

Re: MOTIF Sounds

Converted ES and Classic sounds are on the Sweetwater XSPert disc....

Which normally comes with a unit purchased from Sweetwater…

They might sell it as a standalone—you could ask them ...

Re: MOTIF Sounds

Check out the ES to XS converted sounds available on this site (Forget Where) a lot of the sounds are prlobably there.

FWIW as a former clasic owner, I think the choirs in the XS FAR surpass the classic, though I would have liked a little more variety.
