Is it possible to set up a foot controller to turn the MIDI transmitting channel on/off?
During portions of a live performance I want the ES to send MIDI data to another keyboard (or the internal tone generator) but not through the whole song. For example: I might be playing a piano part on the ES, but in the chorus’ I want to have strings play along with the piano.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Foot Controller to Turn MIDI Transmit on/off

I’ll give you as a primer (see attachment) performance with two instruments: Piano and strings.
Piano is always played, while strings are controlled via Foot pedal FC7 plugged into the Foot Control jack (FC2). If you have a breath controller BC3a, you could play strings in the similar way. Try this performance and use it as a start for your settings. I forgot to say, this file is written in John Melas Performance editor (see: http://www.jmelas.gr). If you don’t have it, I’ll save this performance in ALL file.
