I have been trying to hook my motif to my computer.  I have tried many different ways and no matter which way I try the computer says the Motif is not connected.  When I plug the USB cables into the motif and the computer you hear the sounds of them being plugged and unplugged and the message comes up that you need to load the driver.

I have downloaded the new Vista 64bit driver and run the setup program for that with no luck.
I have went into control panel and see the Yamaha USB as needing a driver.

Everything I do the motif cannot see the PC.  I have tried other usb cables.

Computer is HP m9100t Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.66GHz
Memory is 3.00 GB
System Type 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1

Raytabs, welcome to the forum!  Hopefully we can get you squared away.

I honestly don’t know if Vista or Vista64 have the same architectural limit as XP, but if it does, you need to be aware of the fact that there’s a max of 10 MIDI/USB ports allowed.
