Heya people,

I have been messing around with the arpeggio’s on my Motif ES8, but I haven’t been able to find the few arps I was looking for:

1. classic up/down Arp over an X number of octaves. The problem with the built in Up/Down seq arp is that it repeats the upper and lower notes. what I want is 1-2-3-4-3-2-1-2-3-4 etc, but the motif only offers 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-4 etc.

2. 1-2-3-2-3-4-3-4-5-4-5-6 arpeggio (to clarify: those are steps of 3: 1-2-3 - 2-3-4 - 3-4-5 - 4-5-6. an example can be heard in the bridge/outro of Knights of Cydonia by Muse)

I was thinking the only way to do this was by recording it as a pattern and using that in my songs, but that doesn’t provide the freedom I am looking for, but I gave up. Recently though, I came across an older synthesizer, and a considerably less advanced one, that DID offer these arpeggios. Now, I am positive the motif should be able to do it as well, but how?

If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried the search function, but it did not help me. If this is not the right forum for this question, please tell me.
