The BC3a will work for the regular voices on the S90ES but the effect won’t be as dramatic as with the VL board. Tony Escueta wrote a Clinician’s Corner article on setting up the breath controller to work with standard voices around 2 years ago. I think it also covered setting up the BC3a. It’s just a matter of assigning expression or volume (or whatever other parameter you think might sound good) to the breath controller.

In terms of using breath controlled voices, how does the Artikulation Voice Bank and the PLG-150VL compare? I’ve been listening to the mp3 demos for both and do not really hear a great difference between the two in overall realism and sound quality. Can anyone tell me how they exactly differ and, for that matter, what’s the better buy?
