*Using W2K or XP?
Put your script in the following directory: X:Documents and
SettingsadminApplication DataSteinbergCubase SXScriptsPatchnames. (Substitute
X for the drive letter containing your Docs and Settings. It's a hidden folder)
Go to: (In Windows) Explorer, menu Tools, FolderOptions, tab View, and select
Files and Folders, Hidden Files and Folders, and select Show Hidden files and
folders. Your Application Data should show up now.
Installation Instructions:
Download and unstuff the patch list for the MOTIF.
Put the “MOTIF 6/7/8” document in your Yamaha default names folder, located
in
the FreeMIDI folder, inside of your system folder. (Make sure that the name
of the file is exactly as it appears above.)

Also copy and paste the string of information below into your FreeMIDI
Devices document in the text where the Yamaha devices are listed in the document.
Be sure to place it in alphabetically. This document is also located in the
FreeMIDI folder, inside of your system folder.

1. Place .ins file in your main cakewalk directory
(you will see other .ins files there).
2. After opening Cakewalk, double click on the "Port", "Chn", "Bank" or, "Patch"
sections of a selected track, in the [TRACK] display.
3. "Click" on [INSTRUMENTS].
4. "Click" on [DEFINE].
5. "Click" [IMPORT] and go to the Cakewalk directory.
6. Select the .ins file (it should be in the list in the left window) and then
"Click" on [OPEN]. Select the .ins file by highlighting it and click [OK].
7. After the file has been imported "click" on [CLOSE].
8. Select which PORT or PORTS you wish the new definition to define in the left
window (if the S80 is your only MIDI device then select them all). Select the
definition you wish to use in the right window.
9."Click"[OK].
10. Track Properties should now allow you to access the Bank and Patch numbers
of the instrument definition you have imported.
