I have a Motif Classic 7
It is connected to laptop that feeds cakewalk songs into keyboard with USB cable. Problem is my volume pedal was ok until recently. It works my keyboard channel 1 no problem. But now it is starting to control other channels at random it seems. Is this a computer cakewalk issue or the Motif. It is set on Song mode. I went to Voice Utility and found the FC1 and FC2 settings and I even turned them off and made no different even when off. Is there another setting for song mode?

Hi,

Does this happen regardless of which track is highlighted in Cakewalk?

the pedal, I found if I put midi on a selected track and mute it the pedal will work for keyboard only.
Thank You

This is what is happening also

I have a Motif 7 classic.
I have Midi’s on computer and connect by usb to Motif
If I change volumes on tracks of midi they don’t play on Motif output.
The only way I can change volume now is by changing the velocity of each note.
This happened all of a sudden. It used to work fine.
Now maybe because I when loading a midi allowed sys to make changes.
How can I reset this on keyboard?

Yes, muting the track stops all MIDI from being passed to the output device. You can also filter out just the Controller events at the track input.

Did you by any chance use Cakewalk’s Mute tool on the track/clip, resulting in MIDI notes that are muted? If so, you should be able to unmute them too.

The problem could perhaps be related to System Exclusive (SysEx) data contained in the MIDI file, although I’d have to inspect the file to know for sure. If you want to reset your Motif to its factory settings, follow this description.
