Hello everybody,

I’m sending this message like one in a bottle ! I can’t find a solution !
I have been a happy camper for years wih my Motif XS. Yet, recently, I’ve been worried with noisy crackles in the audio outputs.  The crackles are even worse in the asnL&R;outputs.I attached a brief MP3 extract file of the noises.
I checked the cables, varied the channels of the mixing desk, lowered the volume output, changed the presets, it remains the same in the voice and multi modes ! It reminds me of digital wordclocks issues, yet, I use the Motif XS rack only in analog mode. This issue keeps ruining the recordings I make, and I am very reluctant at using the synth now, which is a shame !
I thought of a midi issue, or an excessive load of the Motif processor or Midi clock…

I fear a hardware issue…
What do you think ?
Has anyone met with the same difficulty ?
Have you found a solution ?

Thanks a lot for your attention and help,
Best regards,
Mike

Hi,

What you describe could very well be a hardware issue, but if it originates inside the Motif-Rack XS, pinpointing it would take someone with more expertise than I have.

I attached a brief MP3 extract file of the noises.

I’m afraid the MP3 file you uploaded is absolutely silent… Would you mind telling us how you recorded it?

yes mp3 file is silent and you don’t say how you are set up such as are you recording through a DAW with an audio interface or using the internal sequencer of another keyboard or what?
