My Motif XF8 middle D and D# keys are making a mechanical clicking sound when fully pressed down. Even if pressing lightly, after the key is fully depressed the click is audible. The keys function just fine, but the sound and feel of it is annoying.

Anyone else experience this with the XF8 weighted keys? It seems to be happening on the keys that have gotten a lot of wear and tear.

Anyone know of any fixes? I never want to part with this beloved machine.

I had a similar problem.  The actual plastic keys don’t last forever, especially if it’s one you use a lot.  You can order replacements, but they’re a devil to install yourself.  Local music shops can do it for you.
