Hi all, I have had my rack es for many years now and have the latest Mac software on my computer but the motif editor and related software seems to be too old for my newer computer. How can I use the editor software to be able to back up and load patches and all that? Also I saw some patch sets I can buy here ie, organs. I’d like to buy them but I don’t know how I can do that if I can’t get into the system. Help. I love my rack es. I have a bunch of artist patches from playlets that I don’t ever want to lose because it’s been so long since I bought them and I don’t have a copy other than what’s on the rack.

The most recent software for a Motif-Rack ES is here…

...but it certainly won’t run under recent Mac OS versions.

In fact, Yamaha doesn’t even check compatibility for older gear anymore:

My suggestion is that you either dual boot your Mac…

...or use an older computer/OS.
