Can someone explain how to get custom sounds that I’ve created on an ES6 into the ES rack? I’m not sure how to do it. Do I use MIDI or USB? Or a computer with Sysex? Please be thorough with the explanation. Thank you! |

The Voices can be loaded to the Rack ES via the Yamaha Voice Editor - Performances require the Multi-Part Editor. Both run under Studio Manager.
Software required for the ES6 to create the file(s) and for the Rack unit to load the file(s) can be found here:

OK.
Download and install Studio Manager V2 Host. It’s unclear which version is correct for OS 10.6.8. Try this…
At the following site…
Installation and operation information for the software is included with the downloads. Once installed, save ES Voice and Multi-Part Editor files. Then use the RACK ES Editors to load those files to the Rack ES. Since I don’t have an ES or Rack ES, nor do I use a Mac, I can’t offer much more assistance. Hopefully other members will be able to help if you have further questions. |
