I presume that by “xpand” you’re referring to the “XSpand Your World” library. (If not, then please tell us what.) Note that the first two letters of that title are “XS”. Since the XS doesn’t have flash modules, by default samples are loaded to SDRAM. That will also be true when loading that library to an XF unless you change the Load destination. The XSpand library is about 400 MB, but the XF has only 128 MB of SDRAM, hence the error message.

Default Load options at lower right of the screen are…
USR > USR
FL1 > FL1
FL2 > FL2

To redirect XSpand samples to your flash module, change to…
USR > FL1
FL1 > FL1
FL2 > FL2
(That assumes the flash module is installed in the FL1 slot.)

I presume the reference is to Bank 2 of “Inspiration in a Flash”. Without knowing exactly what procedure you used, it’s difficult to determine what went wrong. The default Load options (above) normally should result in the samples being installed to the flash module.

Re-direct, i can do that. I was loading the inspire the same way. Just choosing it instead of the xspand.
Maybe I should stick to the editor.  Will it load the samples as necessary when copying the bank over to fhe xf?
Thanks again 5pin. :)

If you still have difficulty loading samples, verify which slot the flash module is mounted to. For a single module, slot 1 is typical, and samples should be directed to FL1. If it’s in slot 2, it will work, but samples will have to be directed to FL2 in that case.

The Yamaha Editor won’t - see:

As I mentioned in that thread, you might find the Melas software a better fit for your needs.
