Hi all. Using my Motif XF. Can anyone help me figure out how to create a reverse snare sound? I’ve been searching the snare waveforms and don’t see one in there. I know that I can reverse a sample. Is there anyway to import a preset waveform and then reverse it in the integrated sampling mode?

You can resample any sound that can be played from the keyboard.

Find a snare you like in a Drum Voice (kit). In Integrated Sampling Record, set Input Source to “resample”. To capture the sound, use Trigger Mode = “level” and Trigger level = “001”. After the sample is captured, Stop. You’ll then probably want to edit the sample by trimming the End Point to eliminate silence, and maybe move the Start Point as well. Play mode can, of course, be set to “reverse”.

Another possibility is to find a reverse snare sample on the net. There are plenty of them out there.
