I know how to set up the vocoder with an effect insert, but I have a more basic question which I dont know if it is possible. Is it possible to have a normal microphone voice mixed in with the keyboard to the same output e.g. spdif. Reason I want this is that it is just for lowfi voice comments such as during skype sessions and I dont need to take up channels on the daw. This will really simplify things as I can cut the daw mix for this scenario as everything is basically done on the motif. To summarize.. Is it possible to have the keyboard and a normal microphone mixed in Motif XS and output into the same output such as spdif. Thanks. |

Thanks a lot.
Last question.
I want to avoid having to have an external gate or daw gate as I want to get rid of a daw to handle skype sessions. |

You’re welcome - I’m glad you’ve resolved that.

I’m not aware of any way to have the Motif function in that manner. Perhaps a mic accessory might be worth considering. There are inline switches that can be used. They operate either latched or momentarily. Some are hand controlled, others by foot pedal. Momentary operation can be either normally-on or normally-off. Do an online search if that approach sounds interesting. |

A switch or volume pedal is going to create more cumbersome actions/stuff.
thanks for the help. |
