I’m loading up my new MOXF with Voices and Performances.  Am I right in thinking that a Performance knows its 4 Voices purely by their numbered location, and not their name?  So if I move a User Voice to a different location, the Performance will use the wrong Voice?

If this is true, I should probably finish organizing my User Voice Banks before auditioning/editing the Performances that use those Voices?

Yes. That is true. If you move a user voice the performance will use the wrong voice.

Create a good user voicebank first.

Using John Melas total librarian its easy to see the used and unused voices in a performance and mix.

If you move voices around in Melas Librarian correctly, it will also remember the performances it is associated with (maintain the link to the Performance).  Generally speaking, just don’t move Voices around unless you have a important reason for it.
